Diary dates, training and news from the TTF as 2018 begins

The Timber Trade Federation has issued a valuable key guide – available here for its Members – all about the new General Data Protection Regulation(GDPR).

The General Data Production Regulation (GDPR) aims to uniform data protection rules for EU member states. The GDPR requires businesses to protect the personal data and privacy of EU citizens for transactions that occur within EU member states. Non-compliance with it could cost companies dearly.

The British Government has confirmed that the UK’s decision to leave the EU will not affect the implementation of the GDPR, and UK organisations that want to conduct business with the EU must be in compliance.

Next stop Edinburgh!

After a successful début in London in early December, the TTF Skills Development programme is off to Edinburgh on 16 and 17 January 2017.

The event agenda will be the same with a morning and an afternoon session. They will focus on topics such as EUTR compliance, CPR, plywood standards and preservatives. Places are still available! Click here to find more info and book your seat!

Your March ‘dinner date’

As you all know, the traditional TTF Annual Dinner is a ‘must-attend’ event for TTF Members, suppliers, customers and major stakeholders from the Construction Industry.

The 2018 edition of the Dinner will take place on the evening of Wednesday 7th March at 8 Northumberland Avenue in London. Our guest speaker will be The German Comedy Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Henning Wehn.
